WARNING LETTER OVER TUAM UNAUTHORISED DEVELOPMENTS
Date Published: 29-Aug-2012
The owners of O’ Tooles Supervalu on Bishop street in Tuam have three weeks left to respond to a warning letter over unauthorised developments.
Galway County Council sent the letter to Joe and Helen O’ Toole last week outlining concern over four developments at the Palace road site.
These include the unauthorised creation of a means of access onto the inner relief road and the unauthorised creation of a split level car park which obstructs a right of way.
Other points of contention include an unauthorised service road linking Bishop street and the inner relief road and unauthorised signage to the facade of the Super Valu building.
Joe and Helen O’Toole who run O’Tooles Supervalu have until the 19th of September to respond to the warning letter.
Tuam resident and Sawdoctors band member Leo Moran of the ‘Restore our Palace Road Campaign’ says he’s hopeful the site can now be restored.
