GALWAY WEBSITE JOINS CAMPAIGN TO SAVE SHANNON HEATHROW
Date Published: 15-Aug-2007
A Galway businessman has set up a new website to lobby against the Aer Lingus withdrawal of the Shannon to Heathrow air service.
www.aerbandoned.com went online yesterday[Mon 13/8] and was developed by web designer Brian O’Dowd of Design Associates at NUI Galway.
It’s aiming to provide a voice for the businesses in the West of Ireland who have been affected by the decision of Aer Lingus to move the Service to Belfast.
The web designer hopes the message board will generate constructive ideas on what to do, now that Aer Lingus has decided to cut off the route to the west.
Galway businessman Neil McNellis conducts a lot of business out of Shannon – he thinks the website could make a difference to the outcome of the controversy
