Work will also be undertaken to improve road safety on the N67 between Ballinderren and Kinvara, while a cycleway and pedestrian improvements will be provided on the Bothar na dTreabh stretch of the N6 in the city.

Work will start on around 30 projects this year including the Ballaghaderreen Bypass in Co. Roscommon; the N7 Newlands Cross upgrade in South Dublin; and the N11 Arklow to Rathnew road in Co. Wicklow.
