YOUTH PLEADS GUILTY TO STABBING OF TUAM NATIVE GARDA

A teenager has pleaded guilty to assault causing serious harm to a Tuam native Garda in Westport last August.

The 16 year old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Judge Raymond Groarke at Castlebar Circuit Criminal Court today.

He pleaded guilty to the stabbing of Garda Daryl Mullen, originally from Millstream Park in Tuam, on Sunday August the 9th.

He’s been remanded in custody for sentence in April.
