Yacht towed to safety after going aground near Aran island

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Yacht, with four people on board, which ran aground off the Aran island of Inish Mor this afternoon (Sunday) has been towed to safety by the Aran Island’s Lifeboat.
The Yacht ran around near Straw Island on the edge of Kilronan Bay and after the alarm was raised at 3 p.m. the Aran lifeboat was launched and was quickly at the scene.
The French vessel was towed into Kilroan Harbour for repairs.
