World nationalities to gather for city festival

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The first ever Connect Intercultural festival will take in Galway city tomorrow.

Participants from 15 different countries have already registered to take part to highlight the culture of their home country.

The festival hopes to celebrate the rich diversity of the Doughiska, Ardaun, Roscam areas, which are now home to 33 nationalities.

There’ll be musical performances and displays of cooking and traditonal customs from countries such as Zimbabwe, Poland and Spain.

The free event gets underway at 2p.m. tomorrow at Merlin Woods city park in Doughiska.
