One of the biggest challenges for Galway city in the future will be maintaining it’s unique historical identity, as it expands and grows.
That’s according to world expert, Charles Landry, who helps cities reach their potential by triggering their imagination and thinking.
He will give a keynote speech to the city’s influencers and decision makers at the Town Hall Theatre this afternoon [3.30pm]
Organised by Galway City Development Board, the event will also be attended by Mayor of Galway, Tom Costello.
Charles Landry has worked on hundreds of projects in 35 countries worldwide.
Seen as an international authority on creativity and city futures, he focuses on how the culture of a place can invigorate and revitalise the economy.
Charles Landry says Galway has many assets, which need to be preserved.
