Work to begin on Westside sports complex next month
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Work is due to begin on Westside Sports Complex in mid-November.
Director of Services Ciaran Hayes told this week’s meeting of the city council that tenders are now being assessed with certain queries outstanding.
Works include the relocation of the GAA pitch, training pitch, running track, soccer pitch and childrens playground.
A youth adventure playground will be developed as well as the provision of exercise equipment for the elderly and public seating.
The entire project is estimated to cost in the region of 1.7 million euro.
