Woman dies after incident at Blackrock

A woman has died after being rescued from the water at Blackrock in Salthill this morning.
She is believed to have been in her late teens.
It’s understood the woman was spotted by a member of the public entering the water at around 8am and alerted emergency services.
A number of ambulances and Gardaí attended the scene and the woman was rescued and taken to hospital, where she later died.
