Woman still held regarding Athenry murder

ONE woman is still being questioned at Galway Garda Station this morning in relation to the murder of a Polish man in Athenry.

Three others have been released without charge after being questioned by Gardai in Galway in connection with the murder of the Polish national and a file is to be forwarded to the DPP.

40 year old Krzysztof Ciesielski, sustained serious head injuries during an incident in Athenry – he died in hospital on Wednesday evening.

Two male teenagers, a man in his 40 and a woman in her 30s were detained for questioning in relation to the man’s death.

The woman in her 30s remains in custody at Galway Garda Station this morning.
