WOMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN N17 COLLISION

A woman has been seriously injured in a crash on the N17 near Tuam.

A car and a truck collided close to Corrandrum National School at ten to seven this morning.

The emergency services rushed to the scene and had to cut the woman from her car.

She’s reported to be seriously injured but stable and has been taken to University Hospital Galway.

Gardai have closed the N17 between Loughgeorge and Currandrum and diversions are in place.
