WOMAN FACES SENTENCE FOR SALTHILL MANSLAUGHTER

A Connemara woman will be sentenced today for killing her former lover at an apartment in Salthill in 2011.

31-year-old Maura Thornton from Inverin, was convicted in January of the manslaughter of 59-year-old, Kevin Joyce at 183 Upper Salthill on July 31st, 2011.

She will be sentenced at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin today.
