WOMAN DUE IN COURT OVER SALTHILL MURDER

A woman in her 30s is due to appear before a special sitting of Galway District court later this morning, charged in connection with the death of a man in Salthill on Sunday night.

The man has been named locally as 59 year old Kevin Joyce, understood to be at native of county Mayo.

He was stabbed to death in an apartment complex close to the Seapoint Amusement Centre.

Gardai upgraded the case to a murder investigation last night.
