WITNESSES COMING FORWARD IN MERVUE ARMED RAID INVESTIGATION

Witnesses have come forward in the hunt for two armed raiders who stole up to 50,000 euro from a securicor van in Mervue yesterday.

The witnesses came forward yesterday but Galway Gardai say they need more help from the public if they’re to catch the culprits.

Door to door enquiries were carried out in the Coole Park, Bohermore area of the city yesterday and these will be continued today.

Galway Gardai say they’re treating the crime very seriously given the level of violence in the incident.
