WINDFARMERS TO DEMAND BETTER POLICIES AT CITY CONFERENCE
Date Published: 04-May-2011
Community windfarmers are set to demand better financial terms from the banks in Galway this week.
The Irish Windfarmers Co-operative, Meitheal na Gaoithe, is organising a workshop in the city on Friday.
Members say the wind industry is under attack from An Bord Snip Nua, the ESRI and Regulators North and South, despite being one of Ireland’s key economic resources.
Windfarmers will examine the challenges facing them in the Clayton Hotel from 10am Friday.
Chairman of Wind Energy Ireland Tommy Cooke says small independent windfarmers are facing severe difficulties at the moment.
