Willie honoured by community

Woodstock man Willie Wallace had a big surprise onMonday night when he wentto Kelehan’s of Bushypark to attend a meeting. It turned out that a group of friends and neighbours had joinedforces to make a presentation to him for his dedication to the Bushypark community over the past 40 years.
On hand was Minister Frank Fahey T.D. who presented a beautiful crystal vase as a token of appreciation. Minister Fahey spoke of the unselfish work carried out by Willie through his involvement with the residents’ association, the parish council and other voluntary groups.
He praised Willie’s wife Mary for being ‘the woman behind the man’. Willie’s lifelong friend, Josie Carr, speaking on behalf of the community, endorsed the Minister’s comments and said it was a pleasure to have a man of such quality living and working in the community.
