WILLIAMSTOWN BOY CRITICAL AFTER TUAM POOL INCIDENT

An 8 year old Williamstown boy is fighting for his life in hospital following an incident at the Kingfisher Club swimming pool in Tuam this weekend.

The boy is in intensive care after he was found lying at the bottom of the pool while he was swimming with family members at the pool on Sunday afternoon at around 2.30.

Gardai made efforts to resusitate the child at the scene before he was rushed by ambulance to University Hospital Galway.
