WHISTLEBLOWER SLAMS REVIEW OF DELAY IN BROTHERS OF CHARITY GALWAY INQUIRY

A review of the circumstances surrounding a delay in completing an investigation into allegations of abuse at the Brothers of Charity Services in Galway is being criticised.

Specialist on Disability and Abuse, Margaret Kennedy was the “whistle-blower” on abuse at the Galway charity.

She’s says she’s shocked that the Hynes review, which was published by the Government yesterday, did not contain an apology to the victims of abuse or their families.

Ms. Kennedy is calling for a Statutory inquiry as she says no-one has been held accountable.
