‘Where West’ showcases staycation offering on Wild Atlantic Way in Galway and Clare
The Wild Atlantic Way is inspiring, renewing, relaxing and invigorating and this week The Connacht Tribune, in collaboration with The Clare Champion, will publish the third edition of ‘Where West’ magazine, the ultimate guide to planning your staycation holiday along the west coast of Ireland.
‘Where West’ magazine is designed to help readers get the most out of their daytrip or long weekend in both Galway and Clare post Covid-19 lockdown. The magazine is packed with local information, hidden gems and plenty of things to do in both counties.
All along the Wild Atlantic Way, the world’s longest defined coastal touring route, the spectacular scenery embellishes the tourism offering from quaint eateries, to pretty seaside villages, sandy bays and cliff top walks.
Operations Manager with The Connacht Tribune, Declan McGuire said Galway is renowned for its tourism offering and the development of the Wild Atlantic Way has added another important string to its bow.
‘’In so many ways, counties Galway and Clare exemplify what is best about Ireland. Everything that we love about our country and all the images that are associated with it, can be found in abundance in both counties.’’
He said ‘Where West’ is designed to showcase businesses and events throughout counties Galway and Clare encompassing all that is best along the Wild Atlantic Way from sightseeing, walking, hiking and cycling to overnight or short stay holiday destinations.
“County Galway is blessed with a rich diversity of beautiful seaside villages, award winning seafood restaurants, tourist attractions and quality accommodation. There’s just so much to enjoy and explore along the Wild Atlantic Way and with our ‘Where West’ magazine we hope to get that message out there,” he said.
‘Where West’ is free with this week’s edition of The Connacht Tribune available in shops on Thursday morning.
