The biggest-ever auction to be held in the West of Ireland takes place in Galway this Friday, with more than 60 properties set to go under the hammer.

The all-day O’Donnellan & Joyce auction takes place in the Harbour Hotel from 10am (registration from 9am).

Auctioneer Colm O’Donnellan explained that nearly 40 properties will be sold in the morning session, which includes investment homes right down the western seaboard.

“The auction is divided into two parts with a large number of investment properties and homes throughout the western seaboard, from Donegal to Kerry, going into the morning session.

“The afternoon session is predominantly Galway City properties in areas like Salthill, Knocknacarra, Renmore, Newcastle, Ballybrit, Shantalla and Bohermore.

“This will be an extremely busy day, with enormous interest being shown in the properties not only locally, but also nationally and internationally.

“There will be exceptional value on offer with all the properties having attractive reserve prices,” said Mr O’Donnellan.

Registration for the morning session is at 9am, with the auction proper beginning at 10am. The afternoon session begins at 3pm, with registration from 2pm.
