Westdoc to provide emergency only cover over Christmas period

The out-of-hours emergency service which operates by appointment only will cover the three public holidays between Christmas and New Year as well as evenings and weekends.

Clinical Director Dr. Oliver Whyte is reminding patients that the service is only for those who require urgent GP medical care.

He says the experience last year showed that the majority of calls were made in the mornings which caused unnecessary delays for many patients.
