West North West hospital group owed 10 million from insurers
Galway bay fm newsroom -The West / North west hospital group is owed over 10 million euro from private health insurers- because consultants have not signed off on the claims.
The group includes Galway University Hospitals, Portiuncula Hospital, Letterkenny general, Sligo regional, Mayo general and Roscommon County Hospital.
CEO of the hospital group Bill Maher told this week’s meeting of the regional health forum west that one consultant has yet to sign off on claims of over a quarter of a million euro.
Meanwhile, a financial report distributed at the meeting estimates a year end deficit of the west north west hospital group of 24.3 million euro.
