Welcome return of Jack Clemons
Jake Clemons, a touring member of Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street Band, will return to Róisín Dubh on Monday, November 3. Clemons played the Dominick Street venue last year, when he was touring his Embracing Light EP.
Springsteen is rarely off the road, and some of his shows clock in at four hours, so how did Jake find the time to write and record Embracing Light?
“It was pretty tricky!” he says. “I wrote a lot while I was on tour; I brought a guitar, a keyboard and computer with me. I had a mock studio in my hotel room. What I would do then is record demo tracks, and send them off to my producer in the States. He would get the musicians in and eventually when I came home, on a couple of days break, I’d be able to jump in the studio and put a bit more polish on it.”
Jake enjoys the buzz of being a touring musician.
“I love being on the road. If you’re open, there’s no rut that you’re stuck in. You’re going to be seeing a new place, and experiencing new food and new music. And all the while being able to share those experiences with large groups of people, it’s just an amazing thing.”
Expect to see a singer who loves engaging with an audience when he comes to Galway.
