Weather warning for Galway upgraded

Met Eireann has issued a RED storm warning for Connacht and west Ulster, upgrading it from ORANGE.

They are forecasting severe southwest winds, with damaging gusts of up to 150 kilometres per hour from this afternoon.

Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal are expected to bear the brunt of the storm.
