Weather disrupts Galway phone and broadband services
Galway Bay fm newsroom – Eircom says crews are working to repair almost six thousand faults to phone and broadband services – caused by the severe weather.
Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal are the worst affected counties- as gusts of up to 130 kilometres batter the country – along with heavy rain.
Flooding is likely in coastal areas and motorists are urged to drive with extreme caution.
On Wednesday high winds caused extreme damage and led to the death of a young motorist, but meteorologist, Eoin Sherlock says this evening won’t be as bad.
