WATER SHORTAGE WORSENS ON INIS ÓIRR

The water shortage on Inis Óirr is worsening.

The county council is now cutting off water between 2 and 4pm on Inis Oirr from today, in addition to nightly restrictions from 8pm to 8am.

Water has already been cut off from 2 to 6pm on Inis Mór as well as overnight restrictions from 8pm to 8am.

The county council will take water from its public supply in Spiddal and transport it by tanker via Rossaveal out to Inis Mór this afternoon.
