WATER SHORTAGE STILL IN CITY AND COUNTY 3 DAYS ON

Homes and businesses in some parts of the city and county still have no water, 3 days after an electrical fault at the Luimnagh treatment plant caused a water shortage.

Gortacleva, Corcullen and Tonabrucky are still without water, despite the fault being fixed on Friday.

Galway County Council says it’s still trying to fill up its reservoirs and its hoped that water will be fully restored by this evening, if not this afternoon.
