WATER RESTRICTIONS IN BALLINASLOE FOR FIRST TIME SINCE FREEZE

Water restrictions were imposed in Ballinasloe last night for the first time since the Big Freeze began.

The Town Council was forced to shut down the supply overnight in a bid to conserve water.

Meanwhile, thousands of homes across Galway are still without water this morning following last week’s ‘Big Freeze’.

Nightly water restrictions have been implemented in Barna and Furramoyle served by the Tonabruckey Reservoir.
