Warning issued as stray dogs savage lambing sheep by night

A WARNINGhas again been issued about wandering dogs attacking sheep after an incident in the North Galway area during which three sheep were savaged.
It is believed that the dogs, which attacked the sheep, had been abandoned by their owner in the Ballyglunin area and were allowed to roam nearby fields.
Three sheep, which were ready to give birth to lambs over the next few weeks, were attacked by the dogs and suffered an agonising death.
