WARD REMAINS CLOSED AT PORTIUNCULA WARD

St Joseph’s Ward in Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe remains closed today as efforts continue to contain an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

The ward was closed and measures put in place after the outbreak on Monday.

Visitors to the hospital are being asked not to visit relatives or friends unless it’s absolutely necessary.
