Wait begins for over 4400 Galway CAO applicants

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Students across Galway have another wait ahead as the CAO prepares to issue its first round offers on Monday.
Over 4,400 people in Galway have submitted applications to the Central Applications Office this year in the hope of securing a college place.
The first round will see students who meet this year’s requirements for their chosen course offered a place.
Round two will follow in the coming weeks, with any vacant places distributed to those who’ve yet to receive an offer.
During this round, an applicant may also be offered a course that was higher on their list of preferences than their initial offer.
Over 3000 people across the county sat the Leaving Certificate this year.
