VOLVO OCEAN RACE MEDIA CENTRE GETS GO AHEAD

The green light has been given to build a media centre and offices at the Docks for next year’s Volvo Ocean Race stopover.

The organising group ‘Let’s Do It Galway’ will now demolish the current Centre Pier Building at the Docks.

The Volvo Ocean Race Media centre will be a two-storey Centre Pier building within the footprint of the demolished building.

It will have a roof terrace, 14 car parking spaces and will incorporate the Media centre and Volvo offices needed to host the Volvo Ocean Race Galway Stopover next May and June.
