Volkswagen’s little dynamo

Volkswagen dealers nationwide are now being stocked with the latest-generation Polo GTI. This little dynamo puts out 200 PS from its 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine and is fitted with a 6-speed DSG gearbox as standard.
A top speed of 237 km/h is achievable and you can get from a standing start to 100km/h in just 6.7 seconds. It might be smallish but it is a very grown-up performer, matching all the expectation that preceded it arrival.
The performance figures speak for themselves, but there is styling to match. You can rely on getting all the family DNA that you get from the Golf GTI with plenty of GTI insignia, including the typical red stripe in the radiator grille, GTI gear knob and legendary “Clark” plaid seat covers, as well as 17-inch “Milton Keynes” alloy wheels.
Standard equipment is generous, with items such as Park Distance Control, an Electronic Differential Lock, Driving Profile Selection and Adaptive Cruise Control all coming as standard.
