UPGRADE OF ICONIC CITY BUILDING BEING COSTED

A report on the cost of upgrading an iconic house in the city centre is being prepared.

Galway City Council has commissioned consultants to cost the phased upgrade of Comerford House at Spanish Arch.

The building has been at the centre of much debate as councillors want it renovated into a cultural facility, rather than converted into offices for Council staff.

A report on the cost of upgrading the building will be presented to Councillors once complete.
