Up to 20 students a year attacked

AS many as 20 college students a year are attacked on the university campus in Galway, according to the President of the NUIG Students’ Union.
Muireann O’Dwyer told the Sentinel that between 12 and 20 such assaults ranging in severity occurred on college grounds on a yearly basis.
In response to this alarming statistic, a new campus safety campaign is to be launched at the university on Thursday.
