Unique child care service up for award

TWO Galway childcare services, which are unique in Ireland, have been short listed in the Awards for Services to Children and Young People 2008.

The two services are The Mobile Play Bus and Time 4 Us.The Mobile Play Bus brings pre-school and after school services into communities in Galway city and county, and Time 4 Us is a play centre in Galway city that helps parents who don’t live in the family home to spend quality time with their children.

Speaking about the nominations, Mobile Play Bus Manager Memie Uí Chualáin said: “We are thrilled to be short listed in the Education Category,”

“The Play Buses are specially adapted double decker buses and have been running since 2002. They are really popular with people who don’t have affordable pre-school or after school services available to them in their local area”.

Having Time 4 Us shortlisted in the Community Category of these awards was ……….
