UNIONS TO PRESENT ALTERNATIVE COST CUTTING PLANS TO DHL

Unions at DHL will today present management with proposals on alternative ways to cut costs.

The company announced last week that it’s to shut down seven depots across the country, including Oranmore, and reduce staff numbers at Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports.

It means the loss of 320 jobs nationwide.

But staff have been working on an alternative savings plan which will be outlined to DHL bosses this afternoon.
