UNEMPLOYMENT CONTINUES TO DROP ACROSS GALWAY

Unemployment continues to drop across Galway.

Over 400 people came off the Live Register in Galway last month, according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.

The drop in the number of people signing on in Galway last month was almost evenly split between the city and county.

There are currently 11-thousand-652 people claiming unemployment benefit in the city.

That’s compared to 11-thousand-851 in October.

In the county, there are still 22-thousand-691 out of work – that’s a decrease of 206.
