UNA BLACK TO BE SENTENCED IN JULY FOR MERVUE MANSLAUGHTER

A Galway city woman has pleaded guilty to killing a man in Mervue in December 2006.

26-year-old Una Black from Droim Chaoin, Bishop O’ Donnell Road was due to go on trial today for the murder of John Malone at Walter Macken Flats in Mervue.

She pleaded guilty to his manslaughter and it was accepted by the State.

Una Black, who’s seven months pregnant, was remanded in custody until the 28th of July when she’ll be sentenced.
