UHG WORKING TO CLEAR CASUALTY BACKLOG

There is still a backlog of patients waiting for a bed at the A and E department of University Hospital Galway.

The HSE has confirmed that 16 people had spent last night on trollies in Casualty.

This is an improvement on yesterdays figures, as UHG recorded the fourth highest number on trollies in any A and E department in the country.
