Galway Bay fm newsroom – University Hospital Galway says it will co-operate fully with the nursing and midwifery board of Ireland in relation to requests for information.

It follows the referral to the NMBI by the Minister for Health James Reilly of the report into the care provided to Savita Halappanavar at the hospital.

In a statement to FYI Galway UHG says it will co-operate fully with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland as well as the ongoing HIQA investigation.

Earlier, the NMBI requested University Hospital Galway to provide it with duty rosters following the publication of the HSE’s report into the death of Savita Halappanavar.

On completion of a review of the rosters and the HSE and Coroner’s documents, a report will be prepared for the Board of the NMBI for its consideration.

The NMBI sought the inquest report and submissions into Savita’s death from the Coroner as soon as they were available in April.

The 31 year old died in her 17th week of pregnancy at UHG last October.
