UHG Emergency Dept doctor named Rose of Tralee

Galway Bay fm newsroom – UHG junior doctor Jennifer Byrne is the 2017 International Rose of Tralee.
The 24-year-old from Offaly works in the Emergency Department at the hospital.
The Offaly woman impressed in Tralee with her Irish dancing skills, and is also a high achiever in sports.
She played for Ireland in soccer at under age level, and won an All Ireland football medal for her mother’s county of Westmeath.
The new Rose of Tralee said she never expected to win the crown.
