UDARAS NA GAELTACHTA VOTES IN FAVOUR OF NAME CHANGE

The members of Údarás na Gaeltachta board have voted in favour of changing the organisations name.

It’s now proposed to call the Gaeltacht development authority "Údarás na Gaeltachta…agus na Gaeilge".

This would give the Údarás a role outside of the Gaeltacht and it could have wide ranging implications in the future.
