TYNAGH PLANT REDUCES GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS

There has been a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions at the power plant in Tynagh, Loughrea according to the Environmental Protection Agency.

Data submitted by the EPA to the EU Commission shows that in 2008, the Tynagh plant had verified emissions of 91 thousand tonnes.

While in 2009, this was reduced to 88 thousand, representing a decrease of almost 3 percent.
