TWO REMANDED OVER LACKAGH CEMETERY THEFT

A woman and a teenage boy have been remanded to appear in court later this month charged with theft at Lackagh cemetery in Turloughmore last August.
30 year-old, Chrisa Rostas, with an address at a rented house in Loughgeorge Claregalway, and a 17 year old boy who can’t be named for legal reasons, are charged with handling statues and crosses which were stolen from the cemetery.
Rostas has been remanded in custody to appear before Galway District Court on Wednesday 26th October where instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions will be heard.
The 17 year old boy is remanded on continuing bail to appear before Galway Juvenile Court next Thursday October 20th.
Rostas husband, 35 year old Marian Lingurar, is remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court on Friday week [Oct 21].
