TWO ON TRIAL FOR MURDER OF GALWAY BASED PHOTOGRAPHER

Two men have gone on trial in Kenya for killing Galway based photographer, Trent Keegan.

33 year old, Mr. Keegan, originally from New Zealand, was found dead in a trench in Nairobi on May 28th.

He had been living in Galway for several years and worked as a photojournalist for many local publications.

According to the Sunday World Newspaper, the court in Kenya heard last week that Trent was hit on the head from behind and there was no sign of a struggle.

Muchiri Kariuki and Amos Kamau, who are in their 20s and 40s appeared in court, charged with murder and robbery.
