Two Nun’s Island projects in the pipeline

SEPARATE plans for a new boutique hotel and an apartment development at Nun’s Island are set to be lodged at City Hall.
The proposed developments for either side of the road could see a major rejuvenation of the road, with two dilapidated buildings being redeveloped.
Geoff Canavan is set to apply for permission to demolish two dilapidated buildings and to construct a mixed use development at 26 and 34 Nun’s Island.
The two buildings will comprise a three storey building facing the road with 374 square metres of office space and a three storey boutique hotel (384sqm) facing onto the canal.
In a separate application set to be lodged with planners in the next fortnight, John Crean is seeking permission to refurbish and extend numbers 3 and 4 Nun’s Island to provide five apartments.
