TWO NUI GALWAY LECTURERS APPOINTED TO LAW REFORM COMMISSION

Two NUI Galway law lecturers have been appointed to the law reform commission.

The Government has announced the appointment of Tom O’ Malley and the re-appointment of Donncha O’ Connell as part-time commissioners.

Marie Baker, a practising barrister, has also been appointed the third part time commissioner to the Law reform Commission.

Mr Justice John Quirke, a retired high court judge, has appointed as President.

The commission is an independent body, which aims to keep the law under review so that it reflects the changing need of Irish society.
