TWO MORE ARRESTS OVER ATHENRY HOUSE ATTACK

Gardai have arrested two more people in connection with an attack on a house in Athenry earlier this week.

One man was arrested on Friday, while a second man was arrested yesterday in connection with the incident which took place at a house in the Fernhill estate.

Last Tuesday night, the house was extensively damaged, and a 31 year old Lithuanian man suffered gun shot wounds to his leg

Two men are being held at Galway Garda station this evening under section 50 of the criminal justice act in connection with the incident.

It brings to five the total number of arrests made so far in connection with the incident.

Three people, a man and 2 women, detained at Galway Garda custody have been released without charge.
