TWO MEN TO APPEAR IN COURT FOR LOUGHREA STABBING

Two men will appear before Galway District Court at 10.30 this morning following a stabbing incident in Loughrea in the early hours of yesterday morning.[29/6]

The incident, which involved the use of a knife, occurred shortly after 6am yesterday in the Gortbríd Housing Estate area.

A man in his twenties suffered minor injuries following the incident and was taken to Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe but was later discharged.
